Asheville Outdoor Center

The Asheville Outdoor Center has been providing family-friendly calm-water river paddling to Asheville families for nearly 20 years. It’s easy to social distance during a leisurely 7-mile canoe, kayak, SUP, or raft trip down the French Broad River. Normal business hours are Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Note that they are closed for the season from November through March. For more details check out its website


Asheville Zipline Canopy Adventures

Nestled just outside of downtown Asheville on 124 acres is Asheville Zipline Canopy Adventures. The Flying Bike

Kids under 16 years always ride for FREE! Tours are offered daily, departing from downtown. Non-electric bike rentals are also available.


Asheville Tree Tops Adventure Park

When looking for fun things to do outside in Asheville, NC, turn to Asheville Tree Tops Adventure Park. It provides a family-friendly obstacle course through the trees. You can walk across 60 bridges, cable walks, cargo nets, slides, rolling elements, tunnels, and other fun challenges. Asheville Treetops Adventure Park offers five unique trails to choose from. The easiest trails are closer to the ground and less challenging. Intermediate and advanced trails are higher and offer increasing difficulty and are great for older teens and adults looking for adventure.
